Description
Deontological ethics or deontology is the normative ethical position that judges the morality of an action based on the action's adherence to a rule or rules. It is sometimes described as "duty" or "obligation" or "rule"-based ethics, because rules "bind you to your duty". Deontological ethics is commonly contrasted to consequentialism and virtue ethics. Deontological ethics is also contrasted to pragmatic ethics.

I love this beautiful image, Jeff . . . right now I think I am happy with any kind of ethics. I'll take Deontologica, consequentialism and virtue . . . just do what's right 😁 Thanks for this lovely work and interesting description. . . .f/l

A great visual commentary on one of the most influential concepts (whether those acting it out are familiar with it or not) of our times. Makes a good starting point for certain discussions which may be painful to have but absolutely necessary to have. Much gratitude for the sharing.
